Aror University

Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, located near Sukkur in Sindh, Pakistan, was established in 2020. The university is situated near the historical town of Aror, which once served as the capital of Sindh.

The institution’s origins trace back to the Sindh College of Arts & Design, which operated under the Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology. In April 2018, a bill was introduced by MPA Syed Awais Qadir Shah to elevate the college to a full-fledged university. The Sindh Assembly passed the bill on June 15, 2020, leading to the establishment of Aror University.

The university aims to blend traditional values with cultural and religious diversity, offering programs in fields such as architecture, civil engineering, fashion and textile design, fine arts, and archaeology. In August 2022, the university inaugurated facilities including an Open Air Museum, Arts & Crafts Gallery, and Pakistan’s first wax sculpture exhibit, featuring a sculpture of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

Aror University is recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and offers undergraduate programs including Bachelor of Architecture, BS Civil Engineering, BS Environmental Science, BS Visual Arts, BS Fashion Design, BS Textile Design, BS History, BS Archaeology, BS Artificial Intelligence, and BS Multimedia & Gaming.

The university provides undergraduate degrees in the following disciplines:

Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning (FATP):

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) – A 5-year program focusing on architectural design, innovation, and sustainability.
BS Civil Engineering – Emphasizes engineering innovation and environmental sustainability.
BS Environmental Sciences – Concentrates on environmental issues and sustainable development.

Faculty of Design (FoD):

BS Fashion Design – Encourages creative and innovative approaches in fashion, blending science, technology, and art.
