• Founded: May 2012, by an act of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan
• Purpose: To offer higher education to the students of the Mekran region (Turbat/Kech, Panjgur, Gwadar, Awaran)

Achievements & Recognition

• Education Excellence Award: Conferred on May 3, 2023 by President Dr. Arif Alvi at the RCCI summit, Aiwan-e-Sadar.
• Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad accepted the award on behalf of UOT.
