History & Establishment

Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University (BBSU) was established on 28 January 2010 to provide accessible higher education opportunities to the underserved community of Lyari Town, Karachi. Chartered by the Government of Sindh and recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, BBSU began its academic journey in 2011, marking its first convocation in June 2022.
