Bolan Medical College (BMC):

• Founded in 1972 in Quetta, it was the first medical education institution in the province of Balochistan.
• BMC played a crucial role in addressing the shortage of medical professionals in the region, producing thousands of doctors and healthcare professionals over several decades.

Formation of BUMHS:

• To address the growing demands for advanced medical education and research, the Government of Balochistan upgraded BMC into Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences.
• This upgrade was legalized with the enactment of the BUMHS Act No. VII of 2017.
• The university was formally opened in 2018, heralding a new era of medical education for the province.
