Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences (BUMHS

Bolan Medical College (BMC):

Founded in 1972 in Quetta, it was the first medical education institution in the province of Balochistan.
BMC played a crucial role in addressing the shortage of medical professionals in the region, producing thousands of doctors and healthcare professionals over several decades.

Formation of BUMHS:

To address the growing demands for advanced medical education and research, the Government of Balochistan upgraded BMC into Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences.
This upgrade was legalized with the enactment of the BUMHS Act No. VII of 2017.
The university was formally opened in 2018, heralding a new era of medical education for the province.

Programs and Academics

Undergraduate Programs:

MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery): A five-year degree course specializing in comprehensive medical education and clinical practice.
BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery): A 4.5-year course leading to careers in dentistry.
DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy): A five-year professional degree program for training physical therapy professionals.
