The University of Education, Faisalabad Campus is a prominent hub for teacher education and multidisciplinary learning in Punjab, Pakistan. With a proud history dating back to the Government College of Primary Education Evaluators of West Pakistan, Lyallpur (established in 1961), this campus has grown over decades to address the growing needs of educational excellence. Historical Legacy Originally operating out of a modest facility on Dijkot Road, the institution’s commitment to academic development prompted its relocation to a more expansive 23-acre campus. In 1976, it was renamed the Government College of Education, Faisalabad. In 2002, it officially merged with the University of Education, Lahore, as part of the government’s vision to advance teacher education across Punjab. Today, it stands as the largest among the University of Education’s 12 campuses, accommodating thousands of students and offering a vibrant platform for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies.
