History
- Establishment (2009): First women’s public-sector university in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, named in honor of Pakistan’s first woman Prime Minister, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
- Inception: Initially operated from the campus of Government Frontier College for Women, Peshawar, with minimal facilities.
