University of Agriculture

The University of Agriculture, Dera Ismail Khan (UAD) is a prominent public-sector university located in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Recognized for its focus on agricultural education and research, UAD is playing a vital role in uplifting the agricultural sector in Southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and beyond.

History and Establishment

UAD was originally part of Gomal University, functioning as a faculty of agriculture. Its transformation into an independent university was approved by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Assembly in March 2018. Official recognition by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan followed on May 5, 2021.

UAD began its academic operations in Fall 2021 and is now offering a variety of undergraduate and diploma programs. The campus is located near Fateh Mor, along the Indus Highway, providing accessibility for students from Dera Ismail Khan and surrounding regions.
